Scope of Work
Subsurface Site Assessment
Station #171
Page 2
accordance with sections 2645 and 2658 of the State of
California Underground Storage Regulations dated August
1985.
SOIL ANALYSIS
Soil samples shall be analyzed as follows:
1. Total petroleum hydrocarbons (TPH) by EPA Method 8015
for all samples.
2 . Benzene, toluene, total xylenes (BTX) by EPA Method 8020
for all samples over 500 PPM (TPH) and at soil-water
interface.
3 . Total lead by EPA Method 7421 for all samples over 500
PPM (TPH) and at soil-water interface.
4 . Ethylene dibromide by EPA method 601 for all samples
over 500 PPM (TPH) and at soil-water interface.
Samples shall be analyzed using a liquid concentrator and a
gas chromatograph equipped with a photoionization detector.
WATER SAMPLES
V4The water samples shall be analyzed for TPH according to
a modified EPA Method 8020 using a gas chromatography
equipped with a flame ionization detector. The samples shall
be analyzed for BTX according to EPA Method 602 using a
liquid sample concentrator and a gas chromatograph equipped
with a photoionization detector. Minimum one water sample
tested for organic lead by EPA Method 7421.
