The following is an itemized list of underground storage tank violations that have not been addressed for GRANT LINE SHELL* as of May 12 , 2020 . Open violations from May 30 , 2019 inspection ❑ This violation was corrected ❑ This violation will be corrected by ( date ) : ❑ Supporting documents included Describe actions taken or will be taken to correct violation : Violation #320 - Failure to comply with the installation , inspection , or record keeping of the overfill prevention . The 87 product, 89 product, 91 product and diesel product did not have an overfill prevention system . All underground storage tanks shall be equipped with an overfill prevention system that does not allow for manual override and meets one of the following requirements : 1 . Alert the transfer operator when the tank is 90 percent full by restricting the flow into the tank or triggering an audible and visual alarm ; or 2 . Restrict delivery of flow to the tank at least 30 minutes before the tank overfills , provided the restriction occurs when the tank is filled to no more than 95 percent of capacity; and activate an audible alarm at least five minutes before the tank overfills ; or 3 . Provide positive shut-off of flow to the tank when the tank is filled to no more than 95 percent of capacity ; or, 4 . Provide positive shut-off of flow to the tank so that none of the fittings located on the top of the tank are exposed to product due to overfilling . Immediately contact a properly licensed , trained , and certified contractor to install an approved overfill prevention system . Replacement of a mechanical flapper valve requires a permit and inspection by the EHD . If an external audio/visual alarm is replaced , provide a copy of the service receipt to the EHD . If an approved overfill prevention system can ' t be installed immediately , there is a possibility that the 87 product, 89 product, 91 product, and diesel product UST system may be red tagged to prevent fuel inputs. Owners or operators of underground storage tanks that do not meet California Code of regulations , title 23 division 3 , chapter 16 section 2635 (c) (2 ) shall test overfill prevention equipment once by October 13th , 2018 and every 36 months thereafter; and within 30 days of the date of a repair . The site did not performed the testing by October 13th , 2018 . Ensure to conduct overfill prevention equipment inspection within the time frame provided by the regulation and submit test results within 30 days of performing the inspection . Imminently schedule the overfill prevention inspection for the 87 product, 89 product , 91 product and diesel product system .
