i CONTAMINATION ASSESSMENT REPORT i COCA-COLA ENTERPRISES - WEST STOCKTON, CALIFORNIA F JOB NO. 40054 1.0 INTRODUCTION U.S. Technical Environmental Consulting, Inc. (USTEC) has prepared this Contamination Assessment Report for the Coca-Cola Enterprises-West(CCE-W),abandoned distribution facility located at 1100 Wilson Way, Stockton, California. The assessment was initiated at the request of Mr. Steven McConnelI, Division Manager of Occupational/Environmental Safety for CCE- W. The purpose of the investigation was to assess the vertical and lateral exient of petroleum hydrocarbon contamination found beneath the site during underground storage tank (UST) removal operations. i• ' 2.0 SITE INFORMATION w, The following in information was obtained through interviews with various employees of II CE- � '.' W and USTEC°s site observations. ' 2.1 SITE DESCRIPTION The site was an abandoned warehouse and distribution facility at the time of 15TEC,s assessment. The facility was located at 1100 N. Wilson Way, Township 1 North, Range 6 East, Section 31,San Joaquin County, Stockton, California (Figure 1). The property was bounded by Wikon Way on the west, Roosevelt Street on the south (Photograph No. 1), and School Street on the east. A motel and vacant lot were located north of the facility. t., 4� Buildings were present on both sides of an east-west conctete drive with access to Wilson Way and School Streets. A brick two-story office building was located in the southwest property corner. An incineration unit and a CO2 production unit was located in the southeast corner of property, ; theA covered metal service bay was located along the southern property boundary. � Covered service bays also lined the north property boundary with the exception of a vacant Fenced parking-lot_behind-the-service bays-in-the-northeast corner of the property. a
