Coca-Cola Enterprises - West
Job No. 90054
This interfingering of strata continued to the full depth of exploration (about 90 feet).
6.4 WELL INVENTORY SURVEY
It is USTECs opinion that a well inventory survey is not needed for the Coca-Cola site in
Stockton, California. This opinion is based on the very low concentrations of hydrocarbons
ry found in the groundwater, groundwater contamination has not migrated off-site and a "monitor
only" groundwater remediation plan is recommended for this site. Also, according to local
goverrnmentaI laws only the location of existing wells can be released to the public and not the
pertinent subsurface information.
6.5 GROUNDWATER FLOW PATTERNS
The:depth to groundwater at the site'ranges. from 67.41.to:67.99 feet-below land surface.' To
evaluate the groundwater flow direction at the site, all groundwater monitoring wells were
surveyed by Mid-Valley Engineering, Inc. of Modesto, California. The well elevations were
established from level circuits carried from the City of Stockton Benchmark No. 77. The
"+ accuracy of this survey was plus or minus 0.02 feet.
z
f
Table 2 lists casing elevations, depth to groundwater, and water table elevations for MW-1
s through MW-5 on September 17,1990. A representative groundwater elevation contour diagram
is illustrated on Figure 12. "Ile groundwater flow direction beneath the site appears to be
towards the northeast with an approximate gradient of 13.9 feet per mile.
7.0 HYDROCARBON DISTRIBUTION
7.1 ]FREE PRODUCT DISTRIBUTION
No free product was discovered by USTEC personnel during any of the assessments at the
site.
7.2 DISTRIBUTION OF HYDROCARBONS IN SOILS
The distribution of petroleum hydrocarbons in the soil is illustrated at the depths indicated on
Figures 5, 6, 7 and 8. The distribution patterns shown in the figures indicate the area of
16
