(USTEQ has completed a preliminary <br /> underground storage tank (UST) investigation at the Coca-Cola Bottling Company facility in <br /> ^ Stockton, California (Figure 1). The investigation was authorized by Mr. Steve McConnell, <br /> Division Manager of Occupational/Environmental Safety, on behalf of Coca-Cola Enterprises - <br /> West and the Coca-Cola Bottling Company, Stockton, California. The objectives of this <br /> m' assessment was to document the excavation and removal of the USTs from the site, collect <br /> verification samples from beneath the tanks, and to provide a written report to Coca-Cola <br /> Enterprises. <br /> This report documents USTECs observations, field procedures, analytical methods, results and <br /> conclusions of work completed to date. <br /> a 2.0 STTE DESCRIPTION <br /> At the time of USTECs investigation, the site was an abandoned warehouse and distribution <br /> facility located at 1100 N.Wilson Way,Township 1 North,Range 6 East,Section 31,San Joaquin <br /> L County,Stockton,California. The property was bounded by Wilson Way to the West,Roosevelt <br /> Street on the south,and School Street on the east. A motel and vacant lot were located north <br /> V of the facility (Figure 2). <br /> Buildings at the facility were present on both sides of an east-west concrete drive with access <br /> Wilson Way and School Streets. A brick two-story office building was located in the <br /> southwest property corner. An incineration unit and a CO, production unit was located in the <br /> southeast comer of the property. A covered metal services, bay was located along the southern <br /> property boundary. Covered service bays also lined the north property boundary with the <br /> --_ ----- <br /> exception-of-a-vacant-fenced parking lot behind the service bays in the northeast corner of the <br /> - �.,erty. <br />
