Department managers are <br /> responsible for overseeing the activities of a particular <br /> department to ensure that adequate personnel and equipment <br /> time is allocated to specific analytical demands. <br /> Sample Control: <br /> Sample control is responsible for the receiving and logging- <br /> in of samples delivered to Sequoia Analytical. They record <br /> the condition of the samples, maintain a chain of custody, <br /> and a sample log--book. They also ensure that samples have <br /> been preserved <br /> .. appropriate containersy�have esufficbeen a� tvered in the <br /> analysis, and are stored quantity for <br /> .; properly. <br /> s Analyst/Extraction Analyst: <br /> An analyst is responsible for all aspects of the assigned <br /> analytical procedures, including overseeing sample <br /> preservation and preparation, performing the analysis, and <br /> reporting the results. Included in this is the adherence to <br /> F all quality control procedures specified in the analytical <br /> method and the full documentation of these procedures. In <br /> addition, an analyst is responsible for the routine <br /> maintenance of his or her equipment and for having sufficient <br /> �- supplies for analysis. <br /> Technicians/Field Services: <br /> The technicians are responsible for both laboratory and field <br /> support. Under the supervision of a project manager, they <br /> are responible for proper sampling procedures, sample pick- <br /> ups, deliveries, and general laboratory support.
