This Addendum One updates the <br /> t Remedial Action Plan for soil remediation,which was previously prepared by U.S.Technical <br /> Environmental Consulting, Inc. (USTEC, September 20, 1991). <br /> This Addendum One will need to be approved by the San Joaquin County Public Health <br /> Service Environmental Health Division, and by the Regional Water Quality Control Board, <br /> prior to construction of the proposed soil vapor extraction system (VES) for soil <br /> ' remediation. In addition,permit applications will need to be prepared and submitted to the <br /> San Joaquin Valley Unified Air Pollution Control District to obtain a Permit to Construct <br /> and a Permit to Operate the proposed VES prior to construction and operation. <br /> 1 Proiposed Soil Remediation System <br /> The proposed soil remediation system is a three-well system using existing vapor wells <br /> VEW-2, VEW-3, and VEW-7. Based on the results of the vapor extraction test (RESNA, <br /> January 1993), the estimated effective radius of influence for each of these three wells <br /> appears to be adequate to remediate gasoline hydrocarbons in the area of concern. The <br /> area of concern has been previously determined by subsurface investigations to be limited <br />
