In accordance with Section 1(h) of the "Standard Conditions Applicable to <br /> Revocable Permits,"the permittee shall provide and keep in force during the term of <br /> the permit a policy of public liability insurance against liability for injuries to persons <br /> or property arising out of accidents attributable to the structure on City property, in <br /> amounts to be determined by the Risk Manager. The policy of insurance so <br /> provided shall contain a contractual liability endorsement covering the liability <br /> assumed by the Permittee by the terms of his permit and shall contain a provision <br /> that such policy may not be canceled except after thirty(30)days notice in writing to <br /> be given to the Risk Manager. The copies of these policies or certificates <br /> evidencing the same shall be filed with the Risk Manager of the City after approval <br /> of the City Attorney. <br /> 4. The issuance of this permit by the City does not create any agency on the part of <br /> the permittee, and the permittee will hold the City of Stockton harmless for any <br /> action for damages arising out of the permittee's activities performed under this <br /> permit. <br /> 5. Permittee,or his contractor,shall obtain an Encroachment Permit for the installation <br /> of the wells. <br /> 6. Future maintenance and/or removal of the wells shall require an additional <br /> Encroachment permit. <br /> 7. The well heads shall be covered with a meter box or valve box as approved by the <br /> City of Stockton_ The top of the boxes shall be flush with the surrounding ground or <br /> concrete. <br /> 8. The provisions of the State of California, Department of Water Resources Bulletin <br /> 74-81 and 74-90 entitled "Water Well Standards: State of California" shall be <br /> applicable to this permit. <br /> 9. Construction operations that create loud noise shall be confined between the hours <br /> Of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. <br /> 10. Disposal of water from the well development shall be in accordance with current <br /> federal regulations. <br /> 11. The barricading of any portion of City streets shall be subject to the approval of the <br /> City Traffic Engineer. Traffic cones and warning signs shall be used to direct traffic <br /> and shall be installed in accordance with the Caltrans Manual of Traffic Controls for <br /> Construction and Maintenance Work Zones or the WATCH Manual. <br /> i <br />
