Phase 11 Environmental Site Assessment Multi-Modal Station Stockton,San Joaquin County,California Page 11 ■ During groundwater elevation measuring activities, a petroleum sheen and a strong petroleum odor were noted on the depth-to-water probe A petroleum sheen was also noted in the groundwater samples collected from this boring 526 Block Between May 30 and September 16, 2002, 17 Geoprobe borings and 12 detection borings were installed on eight parcels of Block 5 Geoprobe, detection, and hydropunch boring locations for Block 5 are shown in Figure 10,Appendix A ➢ Two detection borings (DBK5-820-1 and DBK5-820-2) were installed at 820 E Channel Street, an equipment storage yard The number of borings was limited due to surface obstructions at the property Not all potential areas of concern could be investigated ■ Detection borings DBK5-820-1 and DBK5-820-2 were advanced using a Geoprobe 5400/5410 drill ng with four-foot rods These borings were thus advanced to a depth of 44 feet bgs instead of 45 feet bgs Detection boring DBK5-820-2 met refusal at a depth of 28 feet bgs with the sampling tip closed The sampling tip was opened at this depth and continuous soil cores were collected from between 28 and 44 feet ➢ One Geoprobe bonng (GBK5-836-1) was installed in the driveway of 836 E Channel Street, a residence ➢ One Geoprobe boring (GBK5-147-1)was installed at 147 N Aurora Street, a store and apartment building ➢ Two Geoprobe borings (GBK5-805-1 and GBK5-805-2) and two detection borings (DBK5-805-1 and DBK5-805-2) were installed in the parking area at 805 E Weber Avenue, a used car lot The boring log for DBK5-805-1 is included in Appendix D Five Geoprobe borings (GBK5-811-1 through GBK5-811-5) and three detection borings (DBK5- 811-1 through DBK5-811-3) were installed inside the building at 811 E Weber Avenue, currently an auto repair shop and towing business i ■ Geoprobe borings GBK5-811-3 and GBK5-811-5 were advanced to a depth of 16 feet bgs using a Geoprobe 5400 dnll ng with four-foot rods ■ While advancing Geoprobe bonng GBK5-811-4, a void was encountered from two to eight feet bgs and consequently, no soil samples were collected and the boring was terminated The void appeared to be a basement ➢ Three Geoprobe borings (GBK5-815-1 through GBK5-815-3) were installed inside the building at 815 E Weber Avenue, an auto repair shop ➢ Three Geoprobe borings (GBK5-829-1 through GBK5-829-3) and three detection bonngs (DBK5-829-1 through DBK5-829-3) were installed inside the building at 829 E Weber Avenue, an auto body repair shop ■ Detection borings DBK5-829-1 and DBK5-829-2 were advanced using a Geoprobe 5400/5410 drill rig with four-foot rods These borings were thus advanced to a depth of 44 feet bgs instead of 45 feet bgs ■ Detection boring DBK5-829-3 was advanced to 40 feet bgs using a Geoprobe 5400 drill ng with four-foot rods The boring collapsed prior to installation of the temporary well screen and consequently, no groundwater sample was collected ➢ Two Geoprobe borings (GBK5-843-1 and GBK5-843-2) and two detection borings (DBK5-843-1 . and DBK5-843-2) were installed in the parking area of 843 E Weber Avenue, an auto body repair shop %k4'� �t CONDOR
