William Smith confirmed that the containers of hazardous <br />waste on site are not routinely inspected. Hazardous waste container storage and transfer areas shall be inspected <br />weekly for leaking containers and for deterioration of containers and the containment system caused by corrosion <br />and other factors. Immediately begin conducting the necessary weekly inspections for all hazardous waste <br />containers at this facility. <br />This is a minor violation. <br />601 <br />CCR 66262.34(d) Stored hazardous waste onsite greater than 180 days. <br />Facilities who generate less than 1000 kg of hazardous waste per month and do not exceed 6000 kg of waste stored <br />on site at any time may store waste on site up to 180 days. In the hazardous waste storage area, is a black 55 gallon <br />drum with a blank hazardous waste label, used oil label, and waste oil label. This drum appeared to be less than 1/4 <br />full and was not marked with the name and address of generator, hazardous property, physical state, and <br />accumulation start date. In the hazardous waste storage shed is an open unlabeled white five gallon bucket in which <br />used oil was found.. Since it cannot be determined how long the hazardous waste has been on site, immediately <br />contact a licensed hazardous waste hauler to dispose of this waste under manifest. Submit a copy of the manifest to <br />the EHD within 30 days. <br />This is a Class II violation. <br />605 <br />CCR 66262.34(f) Failed to completely label containers or portable tanks of hazardous waste. <br />In the hazardous waste storage area, is a black 55 gallon drum with a blank hazardous waste label, used oil label, and <br />waste oil label. This drum appeared to be less than 1/4 full and was not marked with the name and address of <br />generator, hazardous property, physical state, and accumulation start date. In the hazardous waste storage shed is <br />an open unlabeled white five gallon bucket in which used oil was found.
