SHELTER — IN — PLACE <br />NOTIFICATION <br />1. Office will announce over the PA system: "Shelter in Place. " <br />RESPONSE <br />2. Move all students inside classrooms, gymnasium, library or cafeteria. <br />• Students inside remain where they are and listen for directions <br />• Students outside report immediately to their classroom or designated location. [Note: the definition <br />of "designated location" may differ by site. If no other guidance has been provided, the student <br />should report to their most recent classroom.] <br />3. Close all windows and doors. Do NOT lock doors. <br />4. Notify the office of your location and missing or extra students: <br />• By e-mail from your classroom • By phone from other locations <br />5. Check e-mail for directions. <br />6. Listen for directions and listen for directions given on the PA system. <br />7. Disregard the bells. <br />8.
