Immediately label these containers and ensure that all containers <br />are marked with all the required information. Since it cannot be determined how long the 40 gallon drum <br />of used oil has been on site, immediately contact a licensed hazardous waste hauler to dispose of this <br />waste under manifest and submit a copy of the manifest to the EHD by 10-6-11. Class II Repeat <br />Violation. <br />610. Two used oil filters were left on top of the used oil drum. One used filter was left in the secondary <br />containment spill control equipment of the used oil drum. Used oil filters must be stored in a closed, <br />rainproof container, labeled as "drained used oil filters," and marked with an accumulation start date. <br />Immediately containerize and label these used oil filters and ensure that all used oil filters are managed <br />in this way and disposed of within one year of the accumulation start date. Minor -Notice to Comply. <br />701. A 30 gallon drum of used oil had an accumulation start date of 1-1-06. This waste has been on site <br />greater than 180 days. Facilities who generate less than 1000 kg of hazardous waste per month and do <br />not exceed 6000 kg of waste stored on site at any time may store waste on site up to 180 days. <br />Immediately contact a licensed hazardous waste hauler to dispose of this waste under manifest and <br />submit a copy of the manifest to the EHD by 10-6-11. Class II Repeat Violation. <br />804. Four boxes of universal waste (UW) lamps were left open and three groups of UW lamps were left <br />to accumulate against the wall of the paint shop. A UW handler shall manage lamps in a way that <br />prevents releases of any UW or component of a UW to the environment. A UW handler shall contain any <br />lamp in a container or package that is structurally sound, adequate to prevent breakage, and compatible <br />with the contents of the lamp. Such a container or package shall remain closed and shall lack evidence <br />of leakage or damage that could cause leakage under reasonably foreseeable conditions. Correct <br />immediately by closing the boxes and containerizing the UW lamps stacked along the paint shop wall. <br />Continue to ensure that all UW lamps are contained properly. Minor -Notice to Comply. <br />808. The fifteen boxes of UW lamps and UW lamps stacked along the paint shop wall were not labeled. <br />A UW handler shall label or mark UW to identify the type of waste. Lamps (i.e., each lamp), or a <br />container in which the lamps are contained, shall be labeled or marked clearly with the following phrase: <br />"Universal Waste-Lamp(s)". Correct immediately by properly labeling the UW lamps as "Universal <br />Waste-Lamp(s)". Continue to ensure that all UW lamps are labeled properly.
