Excavation work will be performed at a safe distance
from utilities. The areas of excavation will be designated as Exclusion Zones. The public will not be
allowed close to the work area under any conditions. All combustion equipment will be clean and in good working order. All state and local
safety requirements, including traffic control, are to be observed during construction.
Excavation work will proceed in a manner designed to reduce the creation of airborne dust to the
extent reasonably achievable.
In the event of an accident resulting in physical injury, first aid will be administered and the injured
worker will be transported to the nearest hospital or emergency medical clinic for emergency medical
clinic for emergency treatment.
