11 11 , -qqq <br />FIBERGLAS <br />s!! <br />WOMM <br />PIPE - Pipe shall be manufactured by Smith <br />Fiberglass Products Inc. by a filament winding <br />process using a thermosetting epoxy resin to <br />impregnate strands of continuous glass fila- <br />ments which are wound around a mandrel at a <br />prescribed helix angle and under controlled <br />tension. All pipe will be supplied with match- <br />ing tapered T.A.B JM (Threaded and Bonded) <br />coupling and spigot ends or T.A.B. spigot x <br />spigot ends. <br />2"-4" PIPE - RED THREAD IIA pipe shall have <br />continuous glass fibers filament wound at a <br />35Y4' helix angle in a matrix of epoxy resin. <br />Pipe shall be in compliance with AST M D2310 <br />and classified by its designation code. Pipe <br />shall meet all dimensional and performance <br />requirements, mechanical properties, and shall <br />be classified with the following designation <br />codes: <br />Size Designation Code at 73.4* <br />211-311 RTRP-1 1 AE <br />41f RTRP-1 1 AF I <br />2"-4" PIPE - Glass fiber reinforced filament <br />wound pipe with matching taperedT.A.B. <br />(Threaded and Bonded) coupling and spigot <br />ends. Pipe to be factory prociftested at the fol- <br />lowing pressures: <br />2" - 375 psig <br />3" - 300 psig <br />4" - 265 psig <br />Bulletin No. B2 1 07 <br />July 15, 1995 <br />2"-4" FITTINGS - Compression molded fittings <br />shall be manufactured using an epoxy mold- <br />ing compound. The molding compound shall <br />be reinforced with a minimum of 45% <br />chopped glass fiber. In-line fittings are fila- <br />ment wound. <br />ADHESIVES - Adhesive and curing agents shall <br />be UL Listed DS -8000 series adhesives. <br />Consult Smith Fiberglass Products' installation <br />manual No. B2160 for recommended heat cur- <br />ing techniques. <br />2"4' PIPE and FlTrINGS - Pipe and fittings <br />shall be joined with DS -8000 series adhesiv <br />using matching tapered bell/coupling and <br />spigot. Material to be installed in accordan <br />with Smith Fiberglass Products' installation <br />manual No. B2160.
