Secondary containment testing for the UDC sump, 87 piping, and 91 piping is required six <br /> months after installation. Provide 48 hours notification to the EHD when this test is scheduled. <br /> 6. Any individual performing the work of a service technician must meet the following <br /> qualifications: <br /> a. Possess or be employed by a person who possesses one of several permissible valid, <br /> current contractor's licenses issued by the Contractors State License Board (may be issued <br /> to the installation company), or a Tank Tester's license issued to the individual by the State <br /> Water Board, and <br /> b. Possess or work under the direct and personal supervision of an individual physically <br /> present at the work site who possesses a valid, current California UST Service Technician <br /> certificate issued by the International Code Council (ICC), and <br /> c. Possess a valid, current certificate of training from the manufacture(s) of the component(s) <br /> being tested, repaired, or serviced. <br /> 7. Individuals installing underground storage tank system components must possess or work <br /> under the direct and personal supervision of an individual physically present at the work site <br /> who possesses at of the following: <br /> a. A valid, current contractor's license issued by the Contractors State License Board, and <br /> b. A valid, current UST Installation/Retrofitting certificate issued by the International Code <br /> Council (ICC), and <br /> c. A valid, current certificate of training from the manufacturer(s) of the component(s) being <br /> installed. <br /> 8. Log into the California Environmental Reporting System (CERS), complete and submit a "UST <br /> Certification of Installation/Modification" form for the 91-primary-product line repair within 30 <br /> days. <br /> 9. All components must be certified by an independent testing organization and labeled as <br /> required by the organization (UL, ULC, ANSI, API, ASTM, etc.). See California Cod of <br /> Regulations (CCR) Title 23, Chapter 16, Table B for a complete list. <br /> 10. Permit expires 180 days from the date of approval.
