UNDERGROUND STORAGE TANK REMOVAL <br />QUIK STOP MARKET No. 120 <br />9321 NORTH THORNTON ROAD <br />STOCKTON, CALIFORNIA <br />1. INTRODUCTION <br />Smith Technology Corporation (Smith Technology), is pleased to present this report <br />regarding the underground storage tank (UST) removal operations at Quik Stop Market <br />No. 120, located at 9321 North Thornton Road in Stockton, California (Figure 1). The <br />site plan and sample locations map (Figure 2) shows the location of the Quik Stop <br />Market building, adjacent streets, monitoring wells, former underground storage tanks, <br />sampling locations and other site-specific features. The underground storage tank <br />removal operations involved the removal of one 8,000 gallon diesel UST, one 8,000 <br />gallon gasoline LIST and two 10,000 gallon gasoline UST's (Figure 2). According to <br />Quik Stop Markets the UST's were single walled fiberglass tanks approximately 10 <br />years old. In addition approximately 500 cubic yards of pea gravel were removed from <br />the excavation and transported from the site to a licensed recycling facility located in <br />Amador County, northwest of Stockton. <br />• <br />WAW:124-281kUSTAPT 123 -Apr -961 <br />
