l tf SERIES EMERGENCY SHUT-OFF VALVES Top Connection Styles There are three types of top or outlet connections available: ♦ "U" designates I%" union connec- tion. •''F' designates i%" internally threaded top. ♦ "M" designates I%" externally threaded top. Single or Double Poppets Traditional OPW 10 Series Emergency Shut-off Valves feature a single poppet. The 1 OBP Series features double poppets and is designed to help contain product within [he dispenser. •, Double poppet models are also avail- able for suction system applications (where the secondary poppet is in the closed position until the suction pump is engaged, in order to hold the prime in the line) by ordering the OPW 10SBP. Containment Options Externally threaded valves for double containment applications are available. OPW 10BP Series OPW l OBP Series Valves have the same features as the single poppet emergency shut-off valves, but include the added benefits of a secondary poppet to limit spillage from the dispenser if a separation of the top and body should occur at the shear groove. I. Outlet — Available with an internal- ly threaded, externally threaded or union connection. 2. Thermal Relief Valve — to reduce pressure build up due to thermal expansion. 3. Secondary poppet limits spillage from the dispenser. 4. Hold -open bridge allows the fuel to flow more quickly and efficiently during normal operation. 5. When properly installed, all OPW 10 Series single and double poppet valves are designed to break at the shear groove, in the event that the pedestal is dislocated or overturned, allowing the valve to close to help prevent further gasoline spillage. 6.
