This will be an attempt to keep all UST
sites functioning normally with minimal oversight. There will be no reduction in annual
routine UST compliance inspections.
A document describing the following is included with this letter:
• UST work that still requires EHD permits
• UST work that does not require EHD permits (with conditions)
• UST work that has not historically required EHD permits in San Joaquin County
(and still does not).
EHD UST staff will visit the work sites occasionally to verify UST service companies are
in compliance with the California Code of Regulations, Title 23, section 2715 licensing
and certification requirements. One of the conditions enclosed requires EHD notification
when work will be done at the sites.
If UST sites are found to not be in compliance with the conditions, an EHD permit will be
required for the work and a violation may be issued to the appropriate parties including
the UST owner or operator.
Should you have any questions regarding these changes, please contact Kasey Foley
at (209) 468-3451.
Enclosure
Protecting Your Health -One Inspection at a Time
