Special care shall be taken not to damage this conduit. This conduit <br />shall be hand excavated and positively identified before any excavation can <br />commence. <br />2.2 Temporary Fuel for Generator <br />2.2.1 A temporary fuel system shall be installed, including supply, return and vent, <br />between the UST and the existing day tank. The existing UST can be used as <br />long as special provisions have been taken to ensure water will not be able to <br />enter the UST during construction. It will be the Contractor's responsibility to <br />maintain this fuel during the constivZou period. If the Contractor elects to <br />provide a separate AST for a temporary fuel source, the unit will be required to <br />be a minimum. of 150 -gallons and will pass all requirements of the local <br />permitting departments. Also, if the gencrAor were to go on line, it will be the <br />Contractor's responsibility to maintain fuel for the duration of the generator run. <br />In this event, the Contractor will be refimdod tate cast of the additional fuel at a <br />designated dollar amount per gallon. A description of how the temporary fuel <br />system shall be constructed will be submitted and approved before excavation <br />has begun. <br />2.3 UST Tuorbme and Pitting New Construction <br />2.3.1 The existing piping sump and all associated fittings in the turbine enclosure shall <br />be removed.
