The alarm trimpot may be adjusted by turning ciockwise to increase the sensitivity, or
counter -clockwise to decrease the sensitivity. An overly sensitive set point may be subject to
background noise effect and causing random nuisance false alarms. Under normal condition (
i.e., the field is not contaminated) it is recommended to adjust the set point to approximately 1 1/
2 to 2 turns counter -clockwise back from the alarm point for gasoline, and 1/2 turn for
diesel applications.
IV.2.3. ALARM TEST SWITCHES
On the enclosure front cover panel are two push-button switches marked LIQUID and
VAPOR. These switches are for functional test of the vapor and liquid alarm circuits.
When the LIQUID switch is pushed, the alarms of all the active liquid sensing channels will be
activated. Similarly, the alarms of all the active vapor sensing channels will be activated when
the VAPOR switch is pressed.
WARNING: Do not attempt to troubleshoot this system unless you are completely familiar
with the operation and maintenance and are familiar with standard troubleshooting
techniques.
WARNING: Do not install or remove any parts, components, subassemblies or assemblies
with power applied to the system. Confirm that the power switch on the Leak Alert system is in
the OFF position and the power to the system is also OFF before touching anything inside
the enclosure.
The only field replaceable parts are the PC channel card, zener safety barrier, liquid and vapor
sensor only. Contact your service representative, or factory, for service information.
27
