January 16, 1989 <br />Laurie Cotulla <br />San Joaquin County <br />Health District <br />1601 East Hazelton Ave <br />Stockton, CA 95205 <br />E <br />This letter was electronically transmitted and distributed by MCI Mail <br />Proposal <br />for <br />Underground Storage Tanks <br />in <br />San Joaquin County <br />0 <br />J A N <br />MCI Telecommunications proposes to take the following actions in order <br />to ensure full compliance with the Underground Storage Tanks Regulations <br />at the Kingdon, Manteca and Tracy Facilities. <br />A. MCI will engage the services of a licensed and certified <br />independent contractor within the State of California to provide the <br />following: <br />1. Remove the existing single wall underground fuel lines at the <br />facilities indicated. <br />2. Install new double walled underground fuel lines of an <br />acceptable type to San Joaquin County. <br />3. Leak test the underground storage tank and new fuels lines as <br />required by underground storage tank regulations. <br />4. Leak test the double walled underground fuel lines as <br />required by underground storage tank regulations. <br />5. Excavate the underground storage tank to determine the UL <br />registration number installed on the tank as required by the <br />County. <br />6. Provide copies of all test results to San Joaquin County as <br />required. <br />7. Install a leak detecting sensor to the existing leak <br />detection system capable of detecting a fuel leak within the <br />double walled fuel lines. <br />
