Identify any real or potential increases in workload over last year related to compliance <br />activities in California and/or implementation of the CCMS. <br />Increases include: <br />♦ EH&S Practice, Procedure, Job Aid & Flowchart maintenance for management <br />systems, petroleum storage tanks, air compliance, water compliance, hazardous waste <br />compliance, EH&S management, trainip <br />g, remediation and audts. <br />♦ Integration of Bell South & Cingular processes,into enterprise -wide EH&S processes <br />♦ Assistance with CA reg/leg activities due t6loss of; dedicated resource who left the <br />business in September of. 2007 <br />2. Estimate (in workload hours) the increase in`staff time over last year for either you or your staff <br />related to the items_ identified in ##1 _ <br />Estimated additional resources for technical support Include the use of vendor services (ERMto <br />assist EH&S T6c cal Support with document formatting and management activities to prepare for <br />the 3`d par'a"Udit"iff.,2 08 These services are expected to reach $350,000 in 2008. This is nearly <br />1.5 time' the amount spent in 2007 and is in concert with my proposal in the fall of 2007 to utilize <br />contract,services temporariiy., rather than add a headcount to EH&S Technical Support. <br />In addition,,afulI tme iEH&S Technical Support resource was dedicated to CA reg/leg activities in <br />December 2007 to enter related;; information into the Leg -Reg database and ensure that SME's <br />r <br />have been no'tifled of any peftent CA activity. This resource was taken from environmental <br />technical support snd was another reason for the increase needed in the ERM vendor services <br />contract. This resource will continue to remain in this assignment until the CA reg/Leg position is <br />filled and work transit'ic5-is completed. <br />3.
