CHEMICAL HAZARD ANALYSIS <br />Emergency medical information for substances present: <br />EXPOSURE SYMPTOMS <br />Gasoline compounds - irritant to eyes, nose, respiration, may cause light-headed feeling, <br />headache, nausea, staggered gate, fatigue. <br />Benzene, Toluene, Ethylbenzene, Xylenes (BTEX) - irritant to eyes, nose, respiration, may cause <br />light-headed feeling, headache, nausea, staggered gate, fatigue. <br />FIRST AID <br />1. Gasoline compounds - If exposed person has difficulty breathing - move to vapor free area. <br />Administer oxygen or artificial respiration until medical assistance can be rendered. For <br />ingestion, DO NOT induce vomiting, seek medical attention immediately. For skin contact, <br />wash with soap and water. If product comes in contact with eyes, flush with large <br />quantities of water for at least 15 minutes and seek immediate medical attention. <br />2. Benzene, Toluene, Ethylbenzene, Xylene (BTE&X) - If exposed person has difficulty <br />breathing - move to vapor free area. MISCELLANEOUS HEALTH AND SAFETY RISKS <br />FIRES <br />Although highly unlikely under current conditions on-site, in the event of a fire at the site, the <br />following actions shall be taken: <br />1. Evacuate all unnecessary personnel from the area. <br />2. Attempt to extinguish fire using portable fire extinguishers or by smothering (personnel <br />protective equipment may be required). <br />3. Request emergency response assistance (ambulance, local Fire Department, hospital, <br />poison control center as appropriate for any injuries or exposure to hazardous chemicals <br />which occur during suppression of the fires. <br />4.
