APPENDIX a Page 13.2
REVISED TANK MONITORING PLAN
INTRQQUC,TION
The Office of the State Architect has developed the following Tank Monitoring
Plan.(TMP) as required by Title 23 Waters, Subchapter 16 Underground Tank
Regulations from the California Code of Regulations. The TMP has been
prepared to comply with the Local Enforcement Agency guidelines for leak
.,detection and monitoring alternatives.
SITE DESCRIPTION
This site is operated by the California Highway Patrol for the State of
California. This site is located at:
CHP - Stockton
3330 North Ad Art Road
Stockton, California 95208
(209) 948-7225
One tank at this facility is proposed for the installation of a tank level
monitor. A brief overview of the tank information is presented below:
P -STK -01
CAPACITY
MATERIAL
Fiberglass
Plot plate SK -13 shows plan view of the tank.
TANK MONITORING PLAN (TMP)
INSTALLED
1975
CONTENTS
Unleaded
The TMP outlined below is based on the Local Enforcement Agency guidelines and
utilizes tank level monitoring. The Tank Level Monitoring (TLM) System will
be installed at this facility. The TLM is an automatic system used for
inventory reconciliation within an underground storage tank. The TLM refers
to probes, monitoring consoles, alarms and other appurtenant devices. A
measuring probe will be located inside the underground storage tank to
automatically measure the level of the liquid, and hence, the volume, stored
in the tank. The probe will be connected to a monitoring console, audible and
visual alarms and recorder. The TLM will also have the capabilities to
perform a tank integrity test, activate a high level alarm, automatically
alert a remote monitor and measure the water level in the tank. Specific
details of the TMP are listed below:
1. Annual precision tank testing;
2. Install TLM monitoring probe in the underground storage tank and
connect it to a monitoring console with audio/visual alarms and
recorder as shown in the attached plot plate. Perform daily, weekly
and monthly inventory reconciliations and compare them to allowable
variations;
