Ad Art Road <br />Stockton, CA 95215 <br />For tank removal of one 12K Unleaded gasoline tank <br />The Project Manager and The Health & Safety Coordinator is Mike Flores of Stockton Service Station Eq. Co., Inc., <br />808 N. Union St., Stockton, CA 95205. Phone (209) 464-8333. The Alternate Site Safety Officer will be Mike Jones of Stockton <br />Service Station Eq. Co., Inc. <br />Stockton Service Station Eq. Co., Inc., will have on site two (2) fire extinguishers and one (1) first aid kit within 50 ft. of the tank <br />area where flammable vapors are present. Stockton Service Station Eq. Co., Inc., shall notify the local fire department and U.S.A. <br />dig 48 hours before excavation shall begin. The tanks will be emptied of product before start of job. The tanks will be triple rinsed <br />and dry iced (30 lbs. per 1000 gallons), before lifting tanks. Stockton Service Station Eq. Co., Inc., shall monitor tanks with a Low <br />Explosion Level (LEL) meter. <br />We will seal all openings and one plug will have an 1/8" opening, before tanks will be transported, along with piping. <br />At no time will Stockton Service Station Eq. Co., Inc., cut or weld on site. <br />The tanks will be secured on truck after excavation for transportation, tanks and plumbing will be hauled away by <br />Cal -Coast Equipment, 700 N. Walnut, Turlock, CA 95380, (209) 668-9378. <br />Stockton Service Station Eq. Co., Inc., will approach all excavations with possible cave-in's. The following rules <br />will be followed to prevent any mishap. <br />1. Soil will be inspected for stability before and after removal. <br />2. Soil to be at least two (2) feet from edge of an excavation. <br />3. If excavation is five (5) feet or more, the hole shall be tapered, braced or other equipment methods shall be used <br />to prevent possible cave-in's. Precautions will be implemented at all times. <br />On the job site, clean fill will be used to backfill the empty hole, after soil samples have been taken by Advanced <br />GeoEnvironmental, Inc., 4005 N. Wilson Way, Stockton, CA 95205, (209) 467-1006. <br />Soil samples will be excavated using a backhoe, samples will be taken two (2) feet to four (4) feet at the tank bottom <br />by hand, using brass tubes. All of the above procedures will be according to code. Any part not backfilled, shall be barricaded and <br />caution tape will be used. <br />
