Contact the local fire department, local planning or building department and the San <br /> Joaquin Valley Air Pollution Control District for any applicable permits. <br /> 2. Any changes shall be submitted to the San Joaquin County Environmental Health <br /> Department(EHD) for approval prior to commencing work.All new addenda supercede <br /> the previous ones. <br /> 3. All components must be certified by an independent testing organization and labeled as <br /> required by the organization. (UL,ULC,ANSI,API,ASTM,etc. See California Code of <br /> Regulations(CCR),Title 23 Chapter 16 Table B for complete list). The component must <br /> bear the appropriate mark as required by the independent testing organization. <br /> 4. Before the alarm history is cleared by the"cold start",a current printout must be <br /> created and available for EHD inspection. Inspection may occur during the monitoring <br /> system functionality test. <br /> 5. Qualified service technicians must possess or work under the direct and personal <br /> supervision of an individual physically present at the work site who possesses all of the <br /> following: <br /> a. One of several permissible valid,current contractor's licenses issued by the <br /> Contractors State License Board(may be issued to the installation company), and <br /> b. All valid,current California UST certificates issued by the International Code <br /> Council(ICC),that are applicable to the work being performed,and <br /> c. A valid, current certificate of training from the manufacturer(s)of the <br /> component(s)being tested,repaired,or serviced; <br /> d. Each person installing or testing any component must hold a certificate of <br /> training from the manufacturer of that component. <br /> Page 1 of 2 <br />
