monitor, sensor or other tank-top openings or fittings.
Liquid-control Products for Fuel Tanks
These products are based on ANSI/UL 842, "Valves for Flammable Fluids," UL 157, "Gaskets and Seals," and/or ANSI/UL 142 until January 19,
2018, or are in accordance with UL 2583 (Part II for Liquid Control Products) on or before January 19, 2018.
Spill Container— Liquid-tight, weather-resistant container designed to temporarily collect and retain small fuel spills that can occur during
tank-filling processes.
Flow Restrictor— Float-actuated valve intended for installation in a gravity-filled tank's vent opening, which automatically reduces flow and
closes when the tank is near capacity.
Overfill Preventer— Float-actuated valve intended for installation at the top of a tank's fill pipe, which automatically reduces flow and closes
when the tank is near capacity.
Sumps,Fittings and Accessories for Flammable and Combustible Liquids,or Fuels
These products are based on ANSI/UL 1316, ANSI/UL 1746, and/or UL 971, "Nonmetallic Underground Piping for Flammable Liquids," until June
30, 2017, or are in accordance with UL 2447, "Outline of Investigation for Containment Sumps, Fittings and Accessories for Fuels," on or before
June 30, 2017.
Containment Sump —Tank, Dispenser, Transition or Fill types for installation at or below grade and intended for secondary containment of
leaks or spills from connected tanks or pipes and equipment housed within the enclosure.
Sump Fitting — Penetration, Transition, Termination or Test/Monitor types for installation to sumps and/or pipe for continuation of primary or
secondary containment.
Sump Accessory — Frame, Cover, Bracket or Lid types for installation to sumps for equipment mounting or water resistance.
LIQUID RATINGS
These products are intended for use with one or more of the following liquid ratings as marked on the product or indicated in the individual
certifications.
All liquids are intended to be stable and noncorrosive with chemical properties similar to the types described, and having generally accepted
chemical compatibility with the materials used in the product. As with all products, the manufacturer and Authority Having Jurisdiction should
be consulted to determine compatibility in end-use applications.
Automotive Fuels— Only those fuels formulated in accordance with 40CFR80, "Regulation of Fuels and Fuel Additives," and meeting the
following ASTM fuel specifications and blend limits:
