REDJACKET. CPT Controller Manual
Step 1: Remove the hex brass cap on the top of the adjustable
functional element.
i
MUI
lAj F
4_ Y
J}
d
FIGURE 4.3 ADJUSTING THE FUNCTIONAL ELEMENT
Step 2: Set the holding pressure by adjusting the pressure
adjustment screw:
0 To increase the pressure, turn the adjustment screw
clockwise.
0 To decrease the pressure, turn the screw 1
counterclockwise.
co— When the adjusting screw is fully down, the relief pressure is about
30 psi. When the adjusting screw is fully up, the relief pressure is
about 3 psi.
Step 3: After adjusting the screw, turn the pump on and off; then,
observe the static pressure. Three methods exist for verifying the
relief pressure setting:
0 The pressure reading can be taken from the CPT
Controller using a tech pod (see "Tech Pod User's
Guide").
0 Relief pressure settings may be observed using existing
electronic line-leak detection consoles (see appropriate
operating instruction manual).
0 Pressure may be observed using a gauge attached at the
impact valve or the line-test port at the pump (see
appropriate operating instruction manual).
Step 4: If the pressure is not correct, adjust the screw again, as
explained in step 2.
Chapter 4:Operation 4-4 ARE260-240 Rev.A ♦ 6197
