The result gives you <br /> the flow rate in gallons per minute (gpm). l <br /> Flow Rate = A x B <br /> where: <br /> A=the number of gallons pumped during the timed interval <br /> B= the number of timed intervals in 1 minute (that is, there <br /> are four 15-second intervals) <br /> Step 4: Adjust the pump pressure, if necessary. <br /> IF the flow rate is: THEN: <br /> less than 10 gpm increase the pressure setting. <br /> more than 10 gpm decrease the pressure setting_. <br /> 10 gpm do not chap a the pressure setting. <br /> The pressure setting can be changed by <br /> 0 entering a new pressure using a Tech Pod (see "Tech <br /> Pod User's Guide"), or <br /> 0 turning the rotary dial (clockwise to increase the <br /> pressure; counterclockwise to decrease the pressure). <br /> Step 5: Repeat this calibration test until the flow rate reaches but <br /> does not exceed 10 gpm, the maximum flow rate allowable by EPA <br /> regulations. <br /> Chapter 4:Operation 4-6 ARE260-240 Rev.A ♦ 6/87 <br />
