Pressurize to 5 PSIG.Add or remove air via the supply valve as <br /> needed and allow the pressure to stabilize.Close the valve on the <br /> test manifold.Disconnect the air supply line. <br /> 6. Monitor the pressure for one hour.Soap the entire exterior of <br /> the tank and watch for active air bubbles which indicate a leak. <br /> FIGURE 2-3 HV When the test is complete,carefully release the air pressure from <br /> SECONDARY(EXTERNAL)TANK TEST the tank by opening the supply valve.The air supply line already <br /> should have been disconnected.Wnen the air flow from the supply <br /> CAUTION:Do not pressurize the secondary tank(interstitial space) valve stops,remove the test manifold. <br /> directly or the primary tank may rupture and cause tank failure. <br /> Once the valve on the hose/valve assembly has been opened,do <br /> not close it until all testing is complete and all test pressure has <br /> been released. <br /> 1.
