Chevron will perform the necessary
integrity test. Please condition this on the permit.
Existing dispensers will remain unchanged.
The 91 tank monitoring system will be shut down 2-3 hours for the cutover, after which time, the system will
be up.
Thanks
Joe
From: Raymond von Flue [EH] [mailto:rvonflue@sjcehd.com]
Sent: Tuesday, November 25, 2008 8:16 AM
To: Joe Nguyen
Cc: Michelle Henry [EH]
Subject: RE: SR0055977 for Chevron 755 S Tracy Blvd
Joe,
My question was, will any new conduit be trenched for the ISD (pressure sensor) equipment? I realize that
the vapor polisher can be run through the existing tank annular conduit. Will you sacrafice the existing
intercom conduit for installing the ISD wiring or run new conduit? A tank integrity test will be required
because they will be trenching new conduit on top of the tank to the vent rack. Any time concrete is broken
on top of a UST we require a tank integrity test within seven days of replacing the concrete. Also you did not
answer my question regarding the dispensers, will they be replaced or will existing ones be utilized? The 91
tank will have to be not monitored for a short time so that the wires from the vapor polisher can be connected
to the J Box. If the 91 tank is not monitored for a lengthy period of time, then it will be required to be placed
under a vacuum while the wiring additions are made. Please respond quickly as this is a RUSH permit and
that way I can approve it right away. The conduit from the existing 91 annular to Veeder Root is existing.
No penetration to any existing sump, hence, conbacborwill not perform tank integrity test.
11/26/2008
