If <br />there are no manufacturer's guidelines, test shall be performed using an applicable <br />method specified in an industry code or engineering standard. <br />d. Sensor functionality: Functionality of the monitoring system must be verified to <br />ensure that monitoring has been restored to meet the requirements of Title 23 <br />California Code of Regulations and the Health & Safety Code. A copy of the alarm <br />history shall be printed prior to performing the "cold start" of the Veeder Root system <br />and made available at the time of EHD inspection. <br />e. Leak detector test: Leak detector must be tested to confirm that the device can <br />detect a leak of 3 gallons per hour at 10 psi. <br />f. Spill bucket test: Verify minimum 5 -gallon capacity and pass a one hour hydrostatic <br />test (or equivalent). Proper drainage must also be verified. <br />g. 24-hour hydrostatic test (or equivalent) on tank #1, 2, 3, 4, & 5 stp sums, tank #1, 2, <br />3, 4, & 5 fill sumps, and diesel transition sumps. <br />h. Secondary containment testing on tank #1, 2, 3, 4, and 5, and product and siphon <br />lines. <br />i. Sampling of soil or backfill beneath the removed product piping. <br />Please be aware that the facility cannot operate the UST system prior to the EHD <br />inspection and approval. <br />4. Since concrete will be broken near the #1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 UST's, a secondary <br />containment test must be performed on the #1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 UST's, product lines, and <br />siphon lines once concrete is poured in accordance with the manufacturer's guidelines. <br />5. Secondary containment testing for the gasoline siphon line between tanks #3 and #4 <br />and product lines are required six months after installation. Provide 48 hours notification <br />to the EHD when this test is scheduled. <br />6. Qualified service technicians must possess or work under the direct and personal <br />supervision of an individual physically present at the work site who possesses all of the <br />following: <br />a. One of several permissible valid, current contractor's licenses issued by the <br />Contractors State License Board (may be issued to the installation company), or a <br />Tank Tester's license issued to the individual by the State Water Board, and <br />b. A valid, current California UST Service Technician certificate issued by the <br />International Code Council (ICC), and <br />c. A valid, current certificate of training from the manufacturer(s) of the component(s) <br />being tested, repaired, or serviced. <br />7. Qualified installers must possess or work under the direct and personal supervision of an <br />individual physically present at the work site who possesses all of the following: <br />a. A valid, current contractor's license issued by the Contractors State License Board, <br />and <br />b. A valid, current certificate of training from the manufacturer(s) of the component(s) <br />being installed, and <br />c. A valid, current UST Installation/Retrofitting certificate issued by the International <br />Code Council (ICC). <br />2 <br />
