Scott <br /> Sommerfeld and Tom Hughes verified that the used oily absorbent found in the trash should have been placed in the <br /> hazardous waste drum.The used oily absorbent was not removed from the trash at the time of inspection. <br /> Hazardous wastes shall be disposed of only by transportation to a permitted hazardous waste treatment, storage, and <br /> disposal facility(TSDF). <br /> Immediately cease disposal of hazardous waste to the trash and ensure that all future waste is hauled by a licensed <br /> hazardous waste transporter to a permitted TSDF. <br /> This is a Class I violation. <br /> 302 CCR 66262.34(d)(2) Failed to maintain required emergency equipment. <br /> An Emergency Eye Wash sign was found posted on the outside of an aisle labeled"BF" in the warehouse, however <br /> there was not an eye wash station located beneath or near the sign (IMG 5689-90).According to Scott Sommerfeld <br /> the eye wash station was moved to a different location, but the sign was not removed. <br /> All facilities shall be equipped with an internal communication or alarm system, a device capable of calling outside <br /> emergency help, spill control equipment, and decontamination equipment at all times. <br /> Immediately provide and maintain an emergency eye wash station in the location mentioned above or remove the <br /> Emergency Eye Wash sign observed. <br /> This is a minor violation. <br /> 403 CCR 66262.34(d)(2) Failed to keep hazardous waste containers closed except when adding or removing hazardous <br /> waste. <br /> -A 55-gallon hazardous waste poly drum containing used oil was found open with a plastic drain pan on top of the <br /> drum, located in the outdoor chemical storage area (IMG 5675-8). <br /> -A 55-gallon hazardous waste steel drum containing oily absorbent solids, located at the fuel island,was found open <br /> with the lid sitting on top of the container, rather than sealed closed (IMG 5718-20). <br /> All hazardous waste containers shall be closed at all times except when adding or removing waste. <br /> Immediately close these containers and ensure all hazardous waste containers are closed when not adding or <br /> removing waste. <br /> This is a minor violation. <br /> FA0003833 PRO514244 SCO01 04/29/2019 <br /> EHD 22-01 Rev.09/27/2018 Page 9 of 14 Small Quantity Hazardous Waste Generator OIR <br /> 1868 E.
