Aerosol cans-Although listed as a U-waste, aerosol cans are managed as <br /> hazardous waste <br /> Manacling U-waste <br /> Never throw the items on the California U-waste list in the garbage. <br /> Batteries shall be managed in a way that prevents releases into the environment. <br /> That means closed container at all times, unless placing batteries into the <br /> container. <br /> • Batteries contain corrosive chemicals that can burn. Because of the <br /> corrosive nature, never store batteries in a metal container. <br />
