Summary <br /> 0 Performs standard industrial painting inside of a paint booth with knowledge of mixing paint <br /> and use of a paint gun. <br /> II. Primary Responsibilities <br /> 1. Receive job travelers from supervisor and retrieve correct paint and parts for the job. <br /> 2. Perform the setup of the job including the staging of the parts and the masking preparation. <br /> 3. Verify the quantity of paint and parts for each job. <br /> 4. Mix required paint with the required reducer and/or catalyst for the quantity of parts being <br /> painted. <br /> 5. For powder paint only,weigh the powder before using and then weigh the balance of the <br /> powder and record both figures onto the paint inventory log. Liquid painters are not required to <br /> weigh liquid paint,but are required to know the balance by making a judgment of the <br /> remaining paint. <br /> 6. Paint sample chips as required and paint parts as per work order obtaining approval for the first <br /> part from supervisor. <br /> 7. Take painted parts to the oven for bake. <br /> 8. Record the amount of paint used on job travelers and voc logs. <br /> 9. Clean equipment and paint hopper and pot in preparation for the next job. <br /> 10. Disposing of paint and paint related materials properly. <br /> 11. Report directly to the supervisor of any discrepancy. <br /> III. Additional Responsibilities <br /> 1. Performs daily cleaning duties at the end of the shift. <br /> A. Make sure filters are changed as needed. <br /> B. Make sure empty racks are in the designated area. <br /> C. Clean paint booth area. <br /> D. Empty trash cans <br /> E. Properly storing and disposing of Hazardous Waste. <br /> 2. Operate within job safety guidelines. <br /> A. Respirators are required for liquid painters while mixing paint and painting. Wear all <br /> other safety equipment as needed. <br /> B. Make sure empty cans are dry before they are placed in the dumpster. <br /> 3. Performs other duties as assigned by management. <br /> ----- -------IV.Knowledge-and-sldll--requirements . <br /> 1. Basic reading,writing, and arithmetic skills required. <br /> g A.
