SaLetE P <br /> In case of Exposure to Mercury <br /> In case of Exposure to Mercury follow this steps. By EPA <br /> Step 1. Evacuate the area. Making sure that no one walks by the mercury spill. <br /> Step 2. Open all doors and windows to the outside, do not open doors leading to other rooms or <br /> sections of the building. <br /> Step 3. Contact Emergency coordinator and advice him of the situation. <br /> Items Needed to Clean Up a Small Mercury Spill <br /> 1. Zip locking plastic bags (as needed) <br /> 2. Trash bag (4-7 Mils thick) <br /> 3. Rubber, nitrile or Latex gloves <br /> 4. Paper towels <br /> 5. Cardboard or squeegee <br /> 6. Eyedropper <br /> 7. Duct tape, or shaving cream and a small paint brush. <br /> 8. Flashlight or small portable light <br /> 9. Powdered sulfur <br /> Cleaning A Small Mercury Spill Instructions <br /> Step 1. Wear proper Gloves, Mask, and Goggles. <br /> Step 2. Pick up any visible parts of the broken item containing mercury. Put into a zip locking bag, <br /> secure the bag and label it. <br /> Step 3. Look for Mercury beads, Use a squeegee or cardboard to gather all visible mercury beads in to <br /> a small mercury ball. (make sure to look for mercury beads in floor cracks). <br /> Step 4. Use the Eye Dropper to collect the Mercury Beads. Carefully secure all the beads in a paper <br />
