The use of powered auger or other drill equipment is <br /> not anticipated. <br /> The collection of undisturbed soil samples will be performed <br /> utilizing a hammer driven sampling tube fitted with new 2" diameter <br /> brass tubes . Immediately upon collection sample tubes will be <br /> sealed with teflon or aluminum foil lined end caps, labeled and <br /> chilled pending delivery to the analytical laboratory. <br /> Borings will be abandoned the same day completed. Abandonment will <br /> be via filling with hydrated bentonite chips . A minimum of three <br /> gallons of potable water will be added for each bag of bentonite. <br /> Each boring will be entirely filled with bentonite chips . <br />
