S0 JOA U 1 Environmental Health Department <br /> U i I y I AMENDED <br /> 12/13/2019 <br /> Small Quantity Hazardous Waste Generator Inspection Report <br /> Facility Name: Facility Address: Date: <br /> CERTIFIED COLLISION CENTER-STOCKTON 7710 MURRAY DR, STOCKTON December 10, 2019 <br /> SUMMARY OF VIOLATIONS <br /> (CLASS I,CLASS II,or MINOR-Notice to Comply) <br /> Item# Remarks <br /> 303 CCR 66262.34(d)(2) Failed to maintain all communication or alarm systems, spill control, or decontamination <br /> equipment. <br /> OBSERVATION: The eye wash station in the Paint Shop(see photos IMG 9743-4)and the eye wash station in the <br /> Body Shop(IMG 9756)did not operate properly when tested at the time of inspection. <br /> REGULATION GUIDANCE:All facility communications or alarm systems,fire protection equipment, spill control <br /> equipment, and decontamination equipment,where required, shall be tested and maintained as necessary to <br /> assure its proper operation in time of emergency. <br /> CORRECTIVE ACTION: The violation was corrected during the inspection by Matt McDermott, Manager,who had <br /> an employee fill each eye wash station with eye wash solution,which allowed each station to begin operating <br /> properly. No further action is required to correct this violation. <br /> This is a Class II violation. <br /> 403 CCR 66262.34(d)(2) Failed to keep hazardous waste containers closed except when adding or removing <br /> hazardous waste. <br /> OBSERVATION: The following open hazardous waste storage containers were observed on-site: <br /> 1.A 55-gallon blue steel drum of hazardous waste solvents/paint liquid,which contained an open red funnel in the <br /> drum's bung hole, located in the Paint Shop(see photos IMG 9730-1). <br /> 2.A 55-gallon black steel drum of hazardous waste waterborne paint solids, located in the Paint Shop(IMG 9733, <br /> 9735-7). <br /> REGULATION GUIDANCE:A container holding hazardous waste shall always be closed during transfer and <br /> storage, except when it is necessary to add or remove waste. <br /> CORRECTIVE ACTION: Immediately close these containers and ensure all hazardous waste containers are <br /> closed when not adding or removing waste.
