a chemical spill, at which time the spilled material is promptly managed by the DEA in
accordance with HD Supply's Hazardous Waste Management Program. If applicable, a
notification is also made to our corporate Environmental Health and Safety team who will
provide assistance with the spill response, if needed.
The facility's leadership has further stressed the importance with all staff to be particularly
observant of any possible material spills, and to notify the DEA as soon as it is noticed so it can
be managed immediately. We believe the facility has received proper training and resources
and is effectively maintained to minimize the release of any hazardous waste into the
environment, and their history of preventing any releases supports this.
I have attached pictures of the spilled material that was properly managed, and copies of our
Hazardous Waste Basics Training, Hazardous Waste for DEAs Training, our DEA Certification
Checklist, and our Hazardous Waste Management Program policy.
Please let me know if you have any questions or would like any additional information.
Sincerely,
Kyle Petrie
Manager, Environmental Health & Safety
HD Supply Construction Supply Ltd.
770-280-1616
CC:
Robert F.
