2.2 Set-Up <br /> ; <br /> - - i <br /> i <br /> If yo <br /> lacem <br /> a SIV r <br /> _- -� . <br /> all <br /> 7� <br /> f�' f <br /> ISRY R�rrO .11r•/ raw YEAr{ire s+P N.w Ia V.. <br /> y ' . .. <br /> Notes: <br /> The Central Accumulation Area at your location should contain the following items: <br /> • 1 Flammables Storage Cabinet placed in the center of the Central Accumulation Area <br /> • A completed and current Emergency Contacts Sheet affixed to the front of the cabinet <br /> • A current Evacuation Map of your facility that shows the location of the Central Accumulation Area attached to the <br /> front of the cabinet <br /> To properly segregate Hazardous Waste within your Central Accumulation Area,you must establish four zones.The <br /> Flammables Storage Cabinet is one zone.The other three zones are color coded black,yellow,and red.To establish your <br /> zones,you will need three signs for each one. <br /> If you are facing the front of your Flammables Storage Cabinet,the zone signs should be placed as follows: <br /> • The Black Zone sign should hang to the right of the Flammables Storage Cabinet <br /> • The Yellow Zone sign should hang to the left of the Flammables Storage Cabinet <br /> • The Red Zone sign should hang to the left of the Yellow Zone sign <br /> There must also be a"Hazardous Waste Accumulation Area"sign above the Flammables Storage Cabinet and a No <br /> Smoking Sign within the Hazardous Waste Accumulation Area. <br /> You must have a fire extinguisher available within 10 feet of the Central Accumulation Area as well as an operational <br /> emergency eye wash station with a 15-minute continuous flow capacity or hard-plumbed system. <br /> In order to delineate the Hazardous Waste Central Accumulation Area from other operational areas of your facility,you <br /> should paint or tape a line on the floor 36 inches on all sides of the flammables storage cabinet.The purpose of the line is <br /> to encourage associates to leave that space clear and accessible at all times and prevent blocking the accumulation area <br /> Published by Articulate° Storyline www.articulate.com <br />
