- V
Groundwater Monitoring Report - Fourth Quarter 2012
ARROYO'S SMOG SHOP
3012 East Waterloo Road, California
1.0. INTRODUCTION
At the request of Mr and Ms. Vicente and Erlinda Hernandez, Advanced
GeoEnvironmental, Inc. (AGE) has prepared this report for 3012 East Waterloo Road,
Stockton, California(site). The scope of work included performance of a groundwater
monitoring event and preparation of this report. This report was prepared in accordance
with Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board guidelines for the investigation
of underground storage tank (UST) sites.
Site and surrounding area are illustrated in Figure 1. Structures, soil borings and
monitoring well locations are illustrated in Figure 2.Site Background information is provided
in Appendix A.
Three groundwater monitoring wells were installed at the eastern edge of the site(MW-10,
MWA1 and MWA2) in conjunction with the groundwater assessment of the dissolved
hydrocarbon plume from the site at 3032 East Waterloo Road; however, these wells are
not included in this investigation.
2.0. PROCEDURES
On 17 December 2012, a groundwater monitoring event was conducted utilizing site wells
MW-1, MW-2, and MW-3. Monitoring was performed in accordance with AGE's standard
monitoring and sampling procedures; provided in Appendix B. Field data and logs are
provided in Appendix C. No exceptions to AGE's standard procedures were noted.
3.0. FINDINGS
Groundwater elevation, flow direction, and gradient were determined from field data
collected on 17 December 2012; contaminant impact to groundwater was quantified by the
laboratory analytical data. Findings are as follows:
• Depths to groundwater were measured at 48.70 feet, 48.70 feet and 48.48 below
the top of the well casing (btoc) in wells MW-1, MW-2 and MW-3. Groundwater
elevations ranged between .05 feet(MW-2)below mean sea level(MSL)and 34.97
feet(MW-3) below MSL (Table 1).
• Groundwater flow was inferred to southeast under a calculated hydraulic gradient
of 0.007 foot per foot (ft/ft).
