05 February 2013 <br /> AGE-NC Project No. 04-1168-. <br /> Page 2 of 3 <br /> elevations as measured on 17 December 2012. <br /> • Total petroleum hydrocarbons quantified as gasoline (TPH-g) were detected in <br /> MWA at a concentration of 1,100 micrograms per liter (Ng/1); THP-g was not <br /> detected in wells MW-2 and MW-3; <br /> • Fuel oxygenate methyl-tertiary butyl ether (MTBE) was not detected in any of the <br /> samples collected during the December 2012 monitoring event; and <br /> • Ethylbenzene and total xylenes were detected in well MW-1 at concentrations of <br /> 2.1 pg/1 and 31.5 pg/I,.respectively. <br /> No additional analytes were reported at or above laboratory detection limits in the <br /> groundwater samples analyzed. Analytical results of the.groundwater samples collected <br /> in December 2012 are summarized on Table 2. The laboratory report(CTEL Lab Project. <br /> No. CT214-1212098), quality assurance/quality control report, and chain-of-custody form <br /> are included in Appendix D. Electronic deliverable format (EDF)files and depth-to-water <br /> data were uploaded to the State GeoTracker database; the confirmation numbers are <br /> 6709928393 and 6098133146. <br /> 4.0. CONCLUSIONS <br /> Based upon the results of the groundwater monitoring, AGE presents the following <br /> conclusions: <br /> • At the time of the fourth-quarter 2012 monitoring event, the groundwater flow was <br /> inferred to be southeast underan average hydraulic gradient of approximately 0.007 <br /> ft/ft. <br /> • Petroleum hydrocarbon impact was detected in groundwater samples collected from <br /> monitoring well MW-1 during the fourth quarter 2012 groundwater monitoring event; <br /> w <br /> hydrocarbon impact was not detected in ells MW-1 and MW-2. MTBE was not <br /> detected in any of the samples collected during the monitoring event. <br /> • Based on historically low concentrations detected over, the duration of the <br /> investigation, and based on low concentrations currently reported in site wells, <br /> additional investigation and monitoring does not appear warranted at this time. <br /> Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc. <br />
