Go to the DTSC web site <br /> https://dtsc.ca.gov/apply-for-hazardous-waste-epa-id-number/to reactivate the ID number. <br /> Immediately reactivate your ID number and submit evidence to the EHD. <br /> This is a minor violation. <br /> 102 CCR 66262.11 Failed to determine if a waste is a hazardous waste. <br /> The following items were observed: <br /> -Metal fines observed on saw table and on ground found outside the shop. <br /> -Metal fines observed on work bench and on ground found outside the shop. <br /> Any person who generates a waste shall determine if the waste is a hazardous waste. Immediately clean up metal <br /> fines and stop disposal as non-hazardous waste, make a hazardous waste determination for the metal fines found <br /> outside the shop , and manage it according the Title 22 hazardous waste regulations. <br /> Please submit a statement and supporting documentation explaining how this waste was managed. <br /> This is a repeat violation, Class II. <br /> 106 CCR 66262.34(d)(2) Failed to train employees on waste handling and emergency procedures. <br /> At the time of inspection, it could not be demonstrated (not necessarily documented)that employees who handle <br /> hazardous waste were properly trained. <br /> Cristina Madrigal, office manager, stated that no training for emergency response or hazardous waste has been <br /> given to the employees of the shop. <br /> The generator must ensure that all employees who handle hazardous waste are thoroughly familiar with proper <br /> waste handling and emergency procedures.
