The following is an itemized list of hazardous waste violations that have not been <br /> addressed for JAAS AUTO SERVICE as of July02, 2020. <br /> Open violations from November 30, 2018 inspection <br /> ❑ This violation was corrected ❑ This violation will be corrected by(date): <br /> ❑ Supporting documents included <br /> Describe actions taken or will be taken to correct violation: <br /> Violation#608 -Failed to properly manage used oil and fuel filters. <br /> Bills of lading for the recycling of used oil filters for the last three years were not found on site. A copy of each bill of <br /> lading must be kept on site for at least three years. Immediately locate a copy of all bills of lading for used oil filters <br /> for the last three years, maintain them on site, and submit copies to the EHD. <br /> In the used oil storage area: <br /> -One black 55 gallon metal drum containing metal filters (full)was observed without an accumulation start date. <br /> -Six 5 gallon plastic buckets containing metal filters (all full)were observed without a label. The containers were <br /> open without a lid. <br /> -Two 3 gallon plastic buckets containing metal filters(all full)were observed without a label. The containers were <br /> open without a lid. <br /> -One black 5 gallon drain pan containing metal filters (full)was observed without a label. The container was open <br /> without a lid. <br /> Used oil filters shall be drained of free-flowing oil, stored in a closed, rainproof container, labeled as"drained used <br /> oil filters," and marked with an accumulation start date. Immediately properly containerize and label all drained used <br /> oil filters. Ensure that all used oil filters are managed in this way. <br /> All off the drained metal oil filter containers listed above did not have an accumulation start date. The latest record <br /> on site for the disposal of the oil filters was 8/9/2017. Facilities that generate up to one ton of used oil filters per <br /> year may store the filters up to one year. Facilities that generate one ton or more of used oil filters may store the <br /> filters for up to 180 days. Immediately recycle these filters under a bill of lading and submit a copy of the bill of <br /> lading to the EHD or send in records showing that the filters have not been on site for more than 180 days. <br /> ❑ This violation was corrected ❑ This violation will be corrected by (date): <br /> ❑ Supporting documents included <br /> Describe actions taken or will be taken to correct violation: <br /> Page 9 of 9 <br />
