The following is an itemized list of hazardous waste violations that have not been <br /> addressed for JAAS AUTO SERVICE as of July02, 2020. <br /> Open violations from November 30, 2018 inspection <br /> Violation #601 -Stored hazardous waste on site longer than 90 days without a permit or authorization. <br /> The following containers were observed without an accumulation start date. <br /> In the used oil storage area: <br /> -Five 5 gallon plastic buckets containing used paper oil filters <br /> -One black 55 gallon metal drum containing used paper oil filters <br /> -One blue 55 gallon poly drum containing used antifreeze <br /> In the pit area: <br /> -One 5 gallon plastic bucket containing paper oil filters <br /> -One black 55 gallon steel drum containing oily absorbent and metal fines <br /> Facilities who generate more than 1000 kg of hazardous waste per month may store waste on site up to 90 days. <br /> Since it cannot be determined how long the hazardous waste has been on site, immediately contact a licensed <br /> hazardous waste hauler to dispose of this waste under manifest. Submit a copy of the manifest to the EHD within 30 <br /> days. <br /> ❑ This violation was corrected ❑ This violation will be corrected by (date): <br /> ❑ Supporting documents included <br /> Describe actions taken or will be taken to correct violation: <br /> Violation #605 -Failed to completely label containers or portable tanks of hazardous waste. <br /> In the used oil storage area: <br /> -Five plastic 5 gallon buckets containing used paper oil filters (overfilled)were observed without a hazardous waste <br /> label. <br /> -One black 55 gallon metal drum containing used paper oil filters (1/4 full)was observed without a hazardous waste <br /> label. <br /> -One blue 55 gallon poly drum containing used antifreeze (1/2 full)was observed without a hazardous waste label. <br /> In the pit area: <br /> -One blue 55 gallon steel drum, one black 30 gallon steel drum, and one black 55 gallon steel drum containing used <br /> oil (all drums full)were observed without a hazardous waste label. <br /> -One 5 gallon bucket containing paper oil filters (full)was observed without a hazardous waste label. <br /> -One 55 gallon steel drum containing oily absorbent and metal fines was observed without a hazardous waste label. <br /> All hazardous waste containers shall be marked with the following information: <br /> -the words"Hazardous Waste" <br /> - name and address of generator <br /> - hazardous properties <br /> - physical state <br /> -composition (contents) <br /> -accumulation start date <br /> Immediately label these containers and ensure that all hazardous waste containers are marked with all the required <br /> information. <br /> Page 8 of 9 <br />
