(Terracon) appreciates the opportunity to submit this proposal to
conduct a Limited Site Investigation (LSI) at the above-referenced site. An outline of the project,
Terracon's LSI scope of services, including schedule, and compensation are provided in the
following sections:
A. PROJECT INFORMATION
The site is located at the intersection of North Thornton Road and Highway 112 in Lodi, San
Joaquin County, California. The site is currently a vacant parcel of land, utilized as a vineyard.
B. SCOPE OF SERVICES
At your request, the proposed scope of work is in response to the findings from Terracon's
Geotechnical Site Assessment (Terracon's Report No: 67115005), which included a limited
environmental investigation to evaluate baseline soil and groundwater conditions in the vicinity
of the western boundary of the site. To accomplish this objective, the soil and groundwater in
the vicinity of three soil borings (B-10 through B-12) were evaluated for the presence of
petroleum hydrocarbons in the area of the proposed underground storage tanks (USTs) to be
installed on the site. The findings of these investigations are summarized below:
■ Soil samples were collected and screened at approximate depths of 5, 10, 15, 20
and 25 feet below grade surface (bgs) and observed to document soil lithology,
color, moisture content and sensory evidence of impairment. Due to malfunction
of the photo-ionization detector (PID) instrument, the soil samples were not
screened on-site, but transported to Terracon's facilities in Reno, Nevada and
Terracon Consultants, Inc. 16662 Millikan Avenue, Irvine, California 92606
P [949] 660 9718 F [949] 660 9732 www.terracon.com
