0 • <br /> BODY ART FACILITY INFECTION PREVENTION AND CONTROL PLAN(IPCP) <br /> In accordance with the California Health and Safety Code, Section 119313,a body art facility shall <br /> maintain and follow a written Infection°Prevention and Control Flan (IPCP), provided by the <br /> owner or established by the practitioners, specifying procedures to achieve compliance with the <br /> Safe Body Art Act. A copy of the IPCP shall be filed with the Local Enforcement Agency and a <br /> copy maintained at the body art facility. <br /> The body art facility owner shall provide onsite training on the facility's IPCP to Body art <br /> practitioners and employees or individuals involved with decontamination and sterilization <br /> procedures. <br /> Training shall be provided when tasks where occupational exposure may occur, are initially <br /> assigned, anytime there are changes in the procedures or tasks, and when new technology is <br /> adopted for use in the body art facility, but not less than once each year. Make stencil and place it, stencil side up,in holding area <br /> 2. Arrange benches, chairs,armrest, etc. as necessary <br /> 3. Turn on lights and power unit <br /> 4. Wash hands <br /> S. Wet work area with H2O <br /> 6. Touching only the ends of the cellophane,cover each work surface with cellophane <br /> including any armrests,chairs or benches being used in close proximity to tattooing area or <br /> work area.Make sure the parts of cellophane touched by hands are hanging over the edges <br /> of your work areas <br /> 7. Place 1 or 2 rubber bands around each machine(dependant upon necessary resistance) <br /> 8. Place rubber grommet on armature bar(don't push it on all the way) <br /> 9. Place machine(s)in holding area <br /> 10. Don one glove <br /> 11.Place clean field on Mayo tray,plastic barrier side facing down <br /> 12.Place desired amount of pre ripped paper towels <br /> 13. If necessary,remove another clean field to protect clients clothing <br /> 14. Pull enough bags to cover 2 bottles and the number of machines being used <br /> 15. Pull one clip cord cover <br /> 16.Bag the alcohol and green soap/Dr Bronner's bottles starting from the bottom of the bottle <br /> 17. Bag machine(s) <br />
