5. Headrests: N/A No headrests are located in the procedure area or on the procedure table. The <br />table includes a small circular opening in the table for the client to rest their head. That area along <br />with the rest of the table is cleared and sprayed thoroughly with Cavi-cide disinfectant spray. The <br />spray is then allowed to set for 3 minutes. The surfaces are then wiped down with sani-cloth <br />disinfectant wipes. <br /> <br />6. Procedure area: The procedure area includes the table and work area. The table, chair, metal <br />shelf, tray and set up chair are cleared and sprayed thoroughly with Cavi-cide disinfectant spray <br />prior to the client arriving. The spray is then allowed to set for 3 minutes. The surfaces are then <br />wiped down with sani-cloth disinfectant wipes. <br /> <br />7. Tables: Cleared and sprayed thoroughly with Cavi-cide disinfectant spray. The spray is then <br />allowed to set for 3 minutes. The surfaces are then wiped down with sani-cloth disinfectant wipes. <br /> <br /> <br />8. Tattoo machine: Immediately prior to procedure, the Tattoo Machine Cord and Power Cord are <br />cleaned on a metal tray. The cords are drenched with cavicide and allowed to sit fo r three minutes. <br />The cords are then wiped down using sani-cloth sanitizing wipes. After sanitization, the tattoo <br />machine cord is wrapped using a disposable fitted bag and cenched at each edge to ensure a tight <br />fit. <br /> <br />9. Reusable instruments, calipers, needle tubes, etc., or other: Immediately prior to procedure, <br />the Tattoo Machine Body is cleaned on a metal tray. The machine body is first drenched with <br />cavicide and allowed to sit for three minutes. The machine body is then wiped down using <br />sani-cloth sanitizing wipes. After sanitization, the body is wrapped using a disposable fitted bag and <br />cenched at each edge to ensure a tight fit. All other items used in the procedure are single use <br />disposable tools and are disposed of after each use. <br /> <br /> <br />B. Reusable Instruments: Describe the procedures used for decontaminating, sterilizing, packaging <br />and storing of reusable instruments. Include the procedures for labeling of sterilized peel -packs. <br /> <br />1. Needle tubes: Every needle is disposable and comes in individual pre-sanitized and sealed <br />packages. Needles are stored in a temperature controlled room in a locked box. The drawer <br />containing the needles as well as locked needle box are labeled as disposable, single use needles. <br /> <br />2.
