10. Pour desired pigment into the cup when procedure is about to begin, in which pigment <br />will be transferred from cup to disposable pigment ring. <br />BREAK DOWN PROCEDURE <br /> <br />1. Throw needle and any single use razor into the sharps container <br />2. Grab the open side of the garbage bag covering the procedure tray and pull back over <br />the tray, so the procedure materials fall directly into the garbage bag. Place garbage bag <br />in trash receptacle. <br />3. Roll the procedure bed barrier sheet up and away from the body into a ball, not touching <br />the top side of the sheet to the bed in the process. Place into the trash receptacle. <br />4. Dispose of clip cord cover, tattoo machine cover, tattoo wrap, and any barrier film into <br />garbage receptacle. <br />5. Dispose of glove into trash receptacle. <br />6. Spray tray, procedure table, metal shelf, and artist chair with cavicide spray and let sit for <br />3 minutes. <br />7. Wipe down all areas with sani-cloth wipes. <br />8. Throw all used sani-cloth wipes away in the trash receptacle. <br />9. Wash hands thoroughly using hot water, soap and hand-free paper towel until in the <br />procedure room. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />E. Prevention of Cross Contamination: Describe the techniques used to prevent the contamination <br />of instruments, tattoo machine, trays, tables, chairs, clip cords, power supplies, squeeze bottles, inks, <br />pigments, lamps, stools, soaps and the procedure site or other items during a body art procedure. <br />Include barriers provided to prevent cross contamination. Describe how the procedure site is <br />prepared for a body art procedure. <br /> <br /> <br />F. Sharps containers: Describe the procedures for the safe handling of sharps and indicate the <br />location of the sharps containers. <br />- The sharps container is located at the back right of the procedure room, directly behind the <br />practitioners chair. The sharps container is used immediately after the procedure for <br />disposal of the needle used in the procedure and any shaving blade used for e xcess hair. <br />Both needle and blade are disposed of prior to cleaning up any other aspect of the <br />procedure area. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />G. Sharps Disposal: Describe the disposal of sharps used during a body art procedure. <br /> <br />1. Needles: The sharps container is located at the back right of the procedure room, directly <br />behind the practitioners chair. The sharps container is used immediately after the procedure for <br />disposal of the needle used in the procedure and any shaving blade used for excess hair. Both <br />needle and blade are disposed of immediately after procedure and prior to cleaning up any other <br />aspect of the procedure area.
