The test will be placed in various <br />locations inside the unit on a rotating, rx7dan basis to ensure overaZZ sterilizer <br />effectiveness. <br />2. The operator will check the cycle printout strip to ensure proper time, temperature and <br />pi,essure where achieved, and initial printout strip to signify sane. <br />3. After the sterilization cycle, Enviro mentaZ Services Aide will take the BBL Ki Zit <br />Anpule Test to the Laboratory. If it has turned brim then, give it to Laboratory <br />Services for 48 hours incubation. A Lab Slip must accarprrny all BiZcgicaZ Bacillus <br />StearothermophiZus BBL Ki Zit ArrpuZe Test, Ei virtmvnentaZ Services will retain a copy of <br />the Lab Slip for record purposes. <br />The Lab Tech will monitor incubation of Biological Culture and record, report and copy <br />results weekly to Laboratory Manager and/or Director of EnvirowientaZ Services. <br />5. Should a positive test occur, the sterilizer will be quazumtined and the test will be <br />immediately repeated. All sterilized, infectious waste, on site will be held at <br />facility until retested results are knc&x. All infectious aazste sent to Landfill since <br />last negative culture will be located for possible recall or other corrective action. <br />Should the sterilizer again fail the test, EnviromrntaZ Services Director will have <br />the unlit evaluated by a qualified service representative. <br />01179-105 (12-89) <br />
